Branding - Logo & Collateral Materials
  • When the new owners took over this Montreal-based bistro it had been running for over 25 years. Though they had a faithful following of long-time customers, business had been lagging considerably and all aspects of the business were in desperate need of a major face lift and fresh, more appealing image to build up regular customers and attract a broader clientele.

The image they wanted to project was that of a welcoming and unpretentious bistro, serving up satisfying food and drink and personal service; a place where local business people could gather with friends and colleagues and feel immediately at home.

We started with their logo to give a rustic image of all the qualities of the traditional bistro. I continued this feeling throughout their materials, keeping a look of approachable quality with no pretentiousness or stuffiness. With a predominantly French-speaking clientele, the inference of the bistro image is immediately understood.

The client is thrilled and I am happy to report their business continues to increase steadily. Plans for a full menu redesign and new website are in the works as well.
